“Defense Managing in a Wider Security Context” Course
In co-organization of the Strategic Research Institute, Great Britain Defense Academy and Cranfield University the course entitled “Defense Managing in a Wider Security Context” was held in Kovacica’s “Relax” Business Center on November 2-13, 2009. The main goal of this course was to provide for all participants new knowledge about management and leadership models in the defense system. Participants were able to hear lectures about policy modeling and implementation, the defense management concept, strategic analysis and planning, public relations, human resources management and outcomes of the defense system. They were also able to participate in various practical activities and workshops referring the same issues. Lecturers were: Laura Cleary, PhD., Terry McConville, PhD. and Mike Dunn PhD. from Cranfield University, and Lt. Col. Graeme Olley from the British Ministry of Defense. This course gathered representatives from SAF, Serbian Ministry of Defense and countries from the region. British ambassador in Serbia H.E. Mr. Stephen John Wordsworth awarded all participants of the course with certificates.
