Colonel Katarina Strbac, PhD., Head of the Strategic analysis and security integrations department and researchers Lt. Col. Sava Savic, M.Sc. and Captain Miljan Milkic attended the international scientific conference entitled “Kosovo and Multinational Peace Forces” on May 11-15, 2009 in the Republic of Bulgaria. The conference was organized by the Military history and Lessons Learned Center of the “G. S. Rakovski” military academy. It was opened by General Zlatan Stoikov, Head of the Bulgarian General Staff. Colonel Katarina Strbac, PhD., gave a lecture entitled “Some Consequences of Conflict in Kosovo and Metohija” within the panel discussion “Genesis of the Kosovo Conflict”, while Captain Miljan Milkic gave the lecture “Looking into the History of Kosovo and Metohija – International Context and Local Circumstances”. Lt. Col. Sava Savic, M.Sc. presented his paper entitled “Inter-Agency Cooperation in the Area of Operations” within the panel discussion “Kosovo – a Precedent of Regularity?” Beside representatives from SRI and the “G. S. Rakovski” military academy, there were also representatives from the Bulgarian Academy of Science, Joint Operative Command, Police Academy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and State University, Balkan Analysis Agency and CALL (USA), Greek military-history directorate, French MoD Military-history department, and British MoD.
