Application of simulation modeling in studies of physiognomy of modern warfare

Realization of this project assumed consultation of wide scope of literature, mainly foreign one, from few different scientific disciplines. Simulation modeling is widely present and used in solving very different problems, simulation methodology is relatively new branch which rely on mathematics, statistics, stochastic processes and computer programming. Contemporary warfare and conflicts in general are subject of permanent interest for military researchers. Both general directions, simulation and modern warfare, were touched during research, and a number of publication were produced as well as one round table with military and civilian experts. In few publications were presented detailed methodology for development of simulation models, one new concept of armed conflict known as swarming, and short survey of contemporary research on forms of modern armed conflicts.
