The 18th Annual Conference of the CSWG

The 18th Annual Conference of the CSWG was organized at the Central Military Club of the Serbian Armed Forces in Belgrade, co-organized by the Military Museum Vienna and the Strategic Research Institute of the University of Defense of the Republic of Serbia.

The topic of the conference was „Alliance planning and collation warfare: historical and contemporary approaches”.

The conference was attended by 44 military historians and strategists from the USA, the Russian Federation, Germany, France, Austria, Holland, Sweden, Denmark, Israel, Turkey, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Slovenia and Serbia. The work was organized in five panels held on April 17 and 19, in which 26 papers were presented. On April 18, a cultural program f was organized for guests from abroad (Ethnographic Museum, Historical Museum of Serbia, the Royal and White Palaces, and Nikola Tesla Museum).

The conference was opened by the Colonel Dr. Ivan Vulic on behalf of the Rector of the University of Defense, General Major Dr Mladen Vuruna. The conference is the biggest success in the history of the CSWG, both by the number of participants and the number of countries from which they came and the wide range of scientific results presented therein. The conference proceedings will be published in 2019. The conference was financially supported by the Ministry of Defense and Sport of the Republic of Austria.
