The Institute project "Hybrid Warfare" declared as the best in the last year

On the occasion of the upcoming Army Day, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Dr. Nebojsa Stefanovic presented the annual awards for the best scientific research works today at the Army House. Congratulating the winners, the Minister of Defense pointed out that on the eve of Army Day, it is important to remember the people who with their scientific research work made an exceptional contribution to our army being even more efficient, better and one step ahead of others.

The award for the best scientific research project for 2020 was given to the team of the Institute for Strategic Research of the University of Defense, which consists of Colonels Nebojsa Nikolic and Miroslav Mitrovic and Lieutenant Colonel Milinko Vracar. The working title of the project is "Hybrid Warfare - Experiences and Perspectives".

Pointing out that today the media, industry, education, history, various controversies and others can be used within the hybrid way of warfare, Minister Stefanović pointed out that he was honored that a team of researchers engaged in this extremely important topic in the modern world.

Speaking about the significance of the recognition, Colonel Dr. Nebojsa Nikolic, otherwise the manager of the awarded project, stated that the project was launched several years ago based on the expressed needs of several important organizational units of the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Army. He expressed gratitude to all those who participated in this project, especially to the young officers from the units of the Serbian Army who found the time and strength to write the works and place them within this project.

Colonel Dr. Nikolić also emphasized that the award means a lot to him personally, because he started his career in 1988 as the best cadet of the Military Technical Academy, and the end of his career will be marked by this recognition, which is beautiful and symbolic.
