Digitization

Like all European and world archives, the Serbian Military Archive has its own digitization center. The Jefferson Institute, with the support of the Kingdom of Norway, coordinates the whole process, including procurement of the equipment and employment. Currently 25 people are working there, together with the support of programming experts from the Army. Already, 3,600,000 pages from the 19th century and a part of the non-public archival materials have been scanned.

The Jefferson Institute is planning the enlargement of the Center in order to improve the process of digitization.
