International Conference “Security in Cyber Space”
The Strategic Research Institute, with generous Norwegian support, organized an international conference entitled “Security in Cyber Space” on November 18, 2009 in the “Serbia” Palace. SRI Director Lt. General Milan Zaric, M.Sc. delivered opening remarks and Mr. Nebojsa Vasiljevic, M.Sc., Assistant to the Minister of Telecommunications and Information Security, introduced the conference. The main goal of the meeting was to exchange scientific knowledge and experiences about challenges and treats in cyber space among national and international experts. Participants included representatives from the Serbian Ministry of Defense, SAF, Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Security, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Directorate for Fighting High-Tech Crime of the Serbian Ministry of Interior, Special Prosecutor for High-Tech Crime, Cyber Crime Department of the Belgrade District Court, Republic Telecommunication Agency, National Information Technology and Internet Agency, representatives from several Faculties of Belgrade University, and from various companies dealing with security in cyber space. Beside lecturers from Serbia, there were guests from the USA, UK, Norway, France, Switzerland and Estonia who also presented their experiences and recommendations how to achieve cyberspace security.
