SRI Representatives Attended the International Scientific Meeting Entitled “Liberation of Belgrade in 1944”




On October 20-21, 2009 the Institute for Contemporary Serbian History of the Yugoslav Archive, Slavic Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russian Institute of Strategic Research organized the International scientific meeting entitled “Liberation of Belgrade in 1944” in the Yugoslav Archive. This meeting was sponsored by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and it was a part of the 65th anniversary of Belgrade’s liberation during WWII. Military historians from the SRI also presented their papers: Milan Terzic, PhD. (“International Recognition of the People’s Liberation Army at the End of the WWII”), Dmitar Tasic, M.Sc. (“The Soviet Union and the Establishment of Yugoslav Armed Forces 1944-1945”), Captain Miljan Milkic, M.Sc. (“Yugoslavia, Soviet Union and the Issue of Friuli-Venezia Giulia’s Status 1943-1945”) and Captain Dalibor Denda, M.Sc. (“Papers about the Role of the Red Army in the Liberation of Yugoslavia Published in the Military-History Journal”).
