The scientific monograph "Migration and extremism", signed by Dr Milovan Subotić, was created with the aim of encouraging the domestic academic public to a multidisciplinary scientific discussion between researchers from different fields of social sciences, primarily those interested in the field of security, studies of conflicts, migration, Otherness and religion extremism. The author of the book announces his academic and travelogue intention to take the reader on an exciting journey through the current most current migration flow, the one that connects the area of ​​the Middle East and the Maghreb with the "promised lands" of Western Europe through the flood of refugees and migrants. Even more important than that is the fact that this research consequently opens up a new series of questions concerning the transformation of migration from a purely demographic topic to an increasingly established security topic. Researchers who continue to study the security aspect of migration after Subotic will inevitably have to deal with these issues. At the same time, Dr Milovan Subotić's monograph will be a valuable guide in discovering different answers. The results presented in this monograph offer a specific and original scientific perspective, of practical value for further research, which is a necessary criterion for establishing the existence of an original scientific contribution, which this book certainly carries with it.
