The first “NEWSIMR&D” project conference

Within the “NEWSIMR&D” project, supported by the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, the first project’s Conference “Strategic and normative framework of the Republic of Serbia for mitigation of contemporary security risks” was held at the Faculty of Security Studies of the University of Belgrade on December 16, 2022. Colonel Dejan Vuletić, PhD, from the Institute for Strategic Research of the University of Defense, who is a member of the project team of the "NEWSIMR&D" project, also participated in the mentioned conference.

 

The Conference aimed to present the first findings of the NEWSIMR&D project’s tasks that relates to analysis of strategic and normative framework of the Republic of Serbia in combating security-related phenomena such as terrorism, organized crime, cyber security, and energy security. The Conference was split into two thematic panels – Strategic documents to combat contemporary security risks, and the second one within which case studies were presented. In total 13 papers were presented. The findings presented at the Conference will be published in the Conference Proceedings which will be available to the public.
