Considering the importance and role of military education in the defence system and its connection with personnel selection, the project was initiated with the idea of identifying successful models that could find practical application in modern military education, based on the analysis of past experiences of the Serbian and Yugoslav armies. The objectives of the research are to establish clear criteria and compliance with them in the selection of candidates for education, then selection through education and, most importantly, personnel selection for the performance of specific tasks, which is carried out after education. One of the objectives of the project is to present a comparative analysis and evaluation of the quality of the curriculum of military education in our country and military education in other countries that had a direct impact on the development of the Serbian army. In addition to researchers from the Department of Military History ISI, it is planned to engage researchers from the Department of Social Sciences of the Military Academy and the Military Archives, as well as external collaborators from the Institute of History, the Institute of Contemporary History, the Institute of Modern History of Serbia and the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Belgrade.
