Visit of a delegation from the Institute for Strategic Defense Studies and Military History from Romania
The Institute for Strategic Studies today hosted a delegation from the Institute for Strategic Defense Studies and Military History of the Ministry of National Defense of Romania. The Romanian delegation consisted of the deputy director of the Institute, Dr. Manuel Stanescu, and a researcher in the Department of Military History, Mrs. Andrea-Juliana Badila. The guests from Romania were received by the director of the Institute for Strategic Research, Assoc. prof. Dr. Dragan Stanar, with colleagues.
The two scientific institutions, by the way, have long-standing cooperation, which is marked by the holding of scientific conferences, the exchange of scientific knowledge, as well as the publication of works in scientific journals and collections of works published by the two institutes. The first official visit of the delegation of the Institute for Strategic Research to Romanian colleagues took place in June last year. One of the results of that visit was the publication of the joint thematic collection "Strategic Intersections: The New Architecture of International Security".
At today's meeting, the results of the multi-year successful cooperation between the two institutes were summarized and concrete projects were agreed upon until the end of 2026.
