Second Lieutenant Lazar Bjelica, MA

Lazar Bjelica has been employed at the Institute for Strategic Research since December 2025. He completed his undergraduate studies in sociology at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. In October 2025, he obtained his Master’s degree in sociology at the same institution, defending his thesis entitled “The Sociology of the Military as a Scientific Discipline.” Since November 2025, he has been enrolled as a PhD candidate in sociology at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. In August 2025, he completed the Military Education and Training for Reserve Officers of the Serbian Armed Forces, specializing in the telecommunications service, at the Military Academy in Belgrade, and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Serbian Armed Forces. During his studies, he served as President of the Student Parliament and as Vice-Dean for Student Affairs. He also completed several professional internships in state and private institutions. In addition to his academic engagement, he gained professional experience in the private sector, participating in a corporate development program for young talents and managers. He was also employed at an international research and marketing agency within the social and political research division, where he held the position of researcher.
