Biography:
Vojislav Gavrilović is employed at the Institute for Strategic Research as a research trainee, following more than seven years of work at the International Military Cooperation Department, where he worked on operational planning, international legal affairs, and bilateral cooperation affairs. From February 2019 to April 2026, he also served as the authorized representative of the Minister of Defense for handling requests for free access to information of public importance within the jurisdiction of the Defense Policy Sector and the International Military Cooperation Department.
He graduated from the Union University Law School in Belgrade in 2014, and completed interdisciplinary master’s academic studies in “Terrorism, Organized Crime and Security” at the University of Belgrade in 2018, defending his master’s thesis titled: “Mass Media as a Factor Threatening State Security in the Information Era: The Experiences of Serbia and Iraq.” Since October 2026, he has been a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade.
In 2022, he completed a three-month course in the field of military and humanitarian law development at the Defense Institute for International Legal Studies in Newport (Rhode Island, USA), which he concluded with a lecture on the situation of the Serbian community in Kosovo and Metohija and the international consequences of the Kosovo precedent. For this, he was commended by both the then Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Washington and the hosts of the course.
From 2014 to 2016, he was an intern at the NATO contact point embassy in Belgrade during the Slovak mandate.
