Biography:
Colonel, Full Professor Srdjan Blagojevic has been employed at the Strategic Research Institute since 2026. He graduated from the Military Academy, Land Forces Department – Infantry, in 2003. He served in the Guard, Military Police units, at the Ministry of Defense – Defense Policy Sector – Strategic Planning Department, University of Defense – the Rectorate, and the Military Academy, where he served as Vice-Dean for Education (2019–2021) and Chief-Dean (2021–2026).
He obtained a master’s degree in 2008 and a PhD in 2011 at the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade. Since 2012, he has held teaching positions and currently teaches at the Military Academy and the Vojvoda Radomir Putnik National Defense School of the University of Defense, where he graduated from the 12th Class Advanced Security and Defense Studies in 2023. He has been a Full Professor in the narrower scientific field of Political Theory and Methodology since 2025.
He is the author and co-author of numerous professional and scientific papers, two university textbooks, and one monograph of national importance. He is a reviewer of several books in the field of security and defense, and also a reviewer for two domestic journals of national importance. He is a member of the International Association of Social Science Methodologists based in Belgrade, and he was the Secretary General of the Association for many years. As a visiting lecturer, he participated in the education process at the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade. He was a member of numerous scientific research projects and led the project “The Army in the Political System of Serbia,” which was awarded as the best project in the field of social and humanistic sciences at the Ministry of Defense in 2021. He is the recipient of the October Award of the City of Leskovac for his contribution to science and education in the defense system for 2022.
He is married and is the father of three daughters.
