Veljko Blagojević, Milovan Subotić (eds.), Book of Abstracts “Strategic Perspectives of the Balkans in the Global Turmoil of the Future”, Institute of International Politics and Economics, Strategic Research Institute, Belgrade, 2025.

The Book of Abstracts “Strategic Perspectives of the Balkans in the Global Turmoil of the Future” has been published jointly by the Institute of International Politics and Economics and the Strategic Research Institute. This volume contains the collected presentations from the scientific conference of the same title held at the Institute of International Politics and Economics on 21 October 2025. The conference was organized within the framework of two research projects. On behalf of the Strategic Research Institute, the project “Security Challenges of the Western Balkan Countries in the European Security Paradigm” was implemented by the Department for Strategic Security Studies, with the support of the Research Group for the Study of Regional Security and external collaborators. On behalf of the Institute of International Politics and Economics, the project “Serbia and the Challenges in International Relations in 2025” was implemented. This project is funded by the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia and carried out by the Institute of International Politics and Economics during 2025 (project identification number: 200041).

The key aspiration of this scientific conference was to highlight the most pressing security challenges facing the countries of the region and to articulate potential directions for the development of the regional security architecture amid increasingly dynamic and complex relations among the most important actors in European and global politics. In addition to researchers from the Strategic Research Institute and the Institute of International Politics and Economics, participants in the conference also included colleagues from the Military Academy, the Faculty of Business Studies and Law, the Centre for International and Security Affairs, and the Institute for European Studies.
